This paper simplifies gray histogram using Douglas-Peucker algorithm and obtains the threshold of image segmentation from simplified histogram.In order to evaluate the algorithm,this paper carried out contrast experiments using multimodal method and OTSU method.The experimental results indicate Douglas-Peucker algorithm has certain advantages in some image segmentation.
