柯蒂斯·邦克(Curtis J.Bonk)是美国印地安纳大学教学系统技术系教授,曾获印第安纳大学信息技术协会数字化新星奖、美国远程学习协会最佳成就奖、印第安纳州远程教育教学创新奖等。邦克教授的研究和教学兴趣包括在线培训和教学、网络教学法策略、远程学习和培训、基于案例的推理和基于问题的学习、协同写作和计算机会议工具、非传统学习环境、电子学习的未来趋势等。邦克教授曾在世界各地开展过1400多场网络学习演讲,先后发表和编著300多篇(部)论文和图书,近十年的代表作包括《混合学习手册:全球化视野、本地化设计》(2006)、《授权在线学习:关于阅读、反思、展示和实践的100多项学习活动》(2008)、《世界是开放的:网络技术是怎样革新教育的》(2009)、《添加技术多样性:激励和保持在线学习者的100多项活动》(2014)、《世界各地的慕课和开放教育》(2015)。其中《世界是开放的》一书被译成多国文字,深受国际教育技术领域的专家、学者和读者好评。

英文摘要:

To better understand the impact of Open Educational Resources (OER) and Massive Open Online Courses ( MOOCs) on current and future higher education globally, we interviewed Prof. Curtis Bonk, who is an internation- ally well -known professor working at the Department of Instructional Systems Technology, Indiana University. He has received the CyberStar Award from the Indiana Information Technology Association, the Most Outstanding Achievement Award from the US Distance Learning Association, and the Most Innovative Teaching in a Distance Education Pro- gram Award from the State of Indiana. Prof. Bonk has presented over 1,400 talks and workshops around the world on emerging technologies, blended learning, online motivation, e-learning pedagogy, and future technology trends, to K- 12, higher education, corporate, government, military, and other audiences. Prof. Bonk has written more than 300 articles and books on topics such as online learning, massive muhiplayer online gaming, wikis, blogging, open source software, collaborative technologies, synchronous and asynchronous computer confereneing, and the future of online and blended learning. HIS books include The Handbook of Blended Learning Environments : Global Perspec- tives, Local Designs ( 2006 ) , Empowering Online Learning: 100 + Activities for Reading, Reflecting, Displaying, and Doing (2008) , The World Is Open: How Web Technology Is Revolutionizing Education (2009) , Adding Some TEC-VARIETY: 100+ Activities for Motivating and Retaining Learners Online (2014) , and MOOCs and Open Edu- cation around the World ( 2015 ). Among them, The World Is Open : How Web Technology Is Revolutionizing Educa- tion ( 2009 ) is the most popular and has been translated into many languages for readers around the world. In this interview, Prof. Bonk recalled his experience with OER and MOOCs.
