The definition of Critical Thinking is “reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do”.It is ordinarily translated“Pipanxing thinking”in Chinese.Because “Pipan”is a sensitive word with emotional colouring in the Chinese cultural context,so this method of transla-tion has caused misunderstanding and doubt easily.Through the questionnaire survey of 19 critical thinking experts,the most relevant keywords with “critical thinking”can be obtained,and by further questionnaire on the basis,a suitable translation of“critical thinking”should be “Shenbianshi think-ing”;moreover,on the view of combination of sound and meaning,“critical thinking”can be also translated in other way.
