This paper discusses the motivation to implementing multicast in automatic switched optical network and investigates the extensions to RSVP-TE for dynamic point-to-multipoint trees under GMPLS framework. Setup, grafting, pruning and teardown operations of trees were successfully achieved by an implementation of extended GMPLS protocols in an experimental network.
