在我国对外直接投资规模快速增长的背景下,其能否促进国内技术创新是当前学术界关注的热点话题。本文从吸收能力视角出发通过机理分析和模型构建阐述对外直接投资影响国内技术创新的正反传导途径,研究结果表明:当吸收能力较弱时,对外直接投资不利于国内技术创新;只有当吸收能力较强时,对外直接投资才能促进国内技术创新。此外,本文利用各地区人均GDP衡量综合吸收能力,通过面板数据回归验证了理论推断,并构建计数模型对实证研究的稳健性进行了检验。进一步地,考虑到技术创新过程存在规模经济的特征,本文通过分位数回归模型发现技术创新和吸收能力存在互补关系,表明技术创新本身也是吸收能力的构成部分。
In the context of rapid growth of China's outward foreign direct investment, its ability to promote domestic technological innovation is a hot topic in the current academic circles. From the perspective of absorptive capacity, through the analysis of the mechanism and the model construction, this paper elaborates the positive and negative pathway of the impact of outward foreign direct invest- ment on domestic technology innovation. The results show that when the absorption capacity is weak, outward foreign direct investment is not conducive to domestic technological innovation; only when the absorption capacity is strong, can outward foreign direct investment promote domestic technologi- cal innovation. In addition, by making use of per capita GDP of different regions to measure the overall absorption capacity, it verifies regressively the theoretical inference with the panel data, and constructs the count model to test the robustness of the empirical research. Further, by taking into ac- count the characteristics of the economy of scale in the process of technological innovation, this paper finds that there exists a complementary relationship between technological innovation and absorptive capacity with a quantile regression model, indicating that technological innovation itself is also a com- ponent of absorptive capacity.
