Based on the literature records that cover the period of the third millennium and the first half of the second millennium BC, it can be seen that the Hurrians lived in a far -flung region stretching from Northern Tigris to middle Euphrates. The seats of main Gods or Goddesses that were worshipped by the Hurrians are north Tigris and Khabur, and archaeological excavation has attested that Urkesh - a seat of Kumarbi - is one of the earli- est hurrian cities. In the light of comparative linguistics research, the Hurrian originated from the Hurro - Urartian family, and the Proto Hurro -Urartians in Northern Mesopotamia evolved as the Hurrians as we know. It may be inferred from above -mentioned evidences that the Hurrians was an aboriginal people in Mesopotamia.
