种业已经成为国际农业竞争,甚至国际经济竞争的新焦点,中国民族种业在激烈的竞争环境中如何突围？本文以粮食大省、种业大省——湖北省为例,通过对17个市州、60个县（市、区）106家种子企业、672名种子种植农户的问卷调查的统计分析,并通过江苏、安徽、湖南三省的调研和比较分析,总结出湖北省种业在创新能力、供种保障能力、企业核心竞争力、市场监管能力等方面比较薄弱,对全国种业发展具有一定的借鉴意义。
英文摘要：
Currently,seed industry has become the new focus of international agricultural competition even the new focus of international economic competition.How dose China＇s national seed industry survive in such a hot competition？ By the statistic analysis of questionnaires which come from seed enterprises in Hubei province,and by the survey of Jiangsu,Anhui and Hunan provinces,this article gives the summary that Hubei seed industry is weak in innovation,supply capacity,core competence,and market supervision.And it also gives specific suggestions to develop and strengthen Hubei seed industry.It may serve as a reference for seed industry development of other provinces or even the whole country.
