Species accumulation curves are widely used to judge whether sampling effort is sufficient and to estimate insect species richness.However,because these have been only rarely used in China so scientific sampling cannot be guaranteed.This paper introduces how to calculate species accumulation curves using EstimateS software and how to draw the curves using the Excel mapping function.
