Since the rising strategy in central region taking Metropolitan Area as development engine set about, There is presently the ubiquity of poor effect of implementation of the Metropolitan Area in Central China which is mainly caused by the lack of ability of innovation. Innovation Network of Metropolitan Area is urgent furthermore to Strengthen and Perfect. The connotation, Characteristics, and Spatial Structure of Innovation Network of Metropolitan Area were introduced in this paper. Based on the theoretical Analysis, according to analysis on distribution Status of Innovation Elements of Innovation Network of Metropolitan Area, the path of Space Optimization of Innovation Network of Metropolitan of Taiyuan was put forward, which included networking town nodes, networking Industrial Cluster and participation subjects of innovation mechanism, to give reference for perfection of Innovation Network of Metropolitan Area in Central China.
