研究了一种以对二乙苯为原料,经四苯基氯化钴卟啉催化氧气氧化、硼氢化钠还原、水解合成标题化合物的新方法,并采用熔点测定、红外及核磁共振对目标产物的结构进行了表征,产品分离总收率较高,分别达57.8%和52.3%,纯度均达到了99.5%。该合成方法反应条件相对温和,简便易行。
A novel synthesis of 4-ethyl-α-methylbenzenemeth- anol and α,α'--dimethyl-1,4-henzenedimethanol from p-dieth- ylbenzene via catalytic oxidation by TPPCoC1, reduction by NaBH4 and hydrolyzation was investigated. And the structures were identified by the melting point, IR and I HNMR. The to- tal yields was 57.8% and 52.3% ,respectively. And the puri- ty of both can reach 99.5%. The processes can be easily run under mild conditions.
