The study focuses on the domestic pottery unearthed in the tombs of Western Zhou Dynasty of YEJIASHAN. The typological study of the pottery indicates an early to middle Western Zhou Dynasty time frame. By comparing the raw materials between other pottery uncovered from the SUI-ZHOU-ZAOYANG corridor, the chronology of the tombs of YEJIASHAN suggest an early Western Zhou Dynasty origin, while M46, M55 belong to the middle Western Zhou Dynasty. The domestic pottery not only expresses a strong influence of the Zhou culture but also incorporated some aboriginal and Shang cultural features.
