Compared with the traditional polymer co-extrusion, there were more advantages in the gas- assisted polymer co-extrusion. This paper introduced the mechanism and the study progress of the gas-assisted extrusion, stated the research status of the plastic profile gas-assisted co-extrusion in detail, indicated that the gas-assisted co-extrusion technology would be promoted by the computer and numerical methods, which would help to develop and generalize this technology then.
