英文摘要：

Two refined formulae of the erosion source term （EST） for the weakly and strongly consolidated bed materials are presented respectively, which adopt the relative dry bulk density to represent the relationship be tween the EST and dry bulk density. The coefficients in the two formulae are calibrated by the observed data from laboratory experiments documented in the literature. The refined formula for the strongly consolidated bed material is then validated against the available experimental data based on the samples of natural bed materials and fine quartz particles. The calculated ESTs generally agree with the observed data, which indicates that the refined formulae can be applied to modelling the transport of cohesive sediment.
