A novel double frequency Boost converter is proposed in this paper. The high frequency part of the converter is a three-level Boost cell, while the low frequency part is a two-level Boost cell. Compared with traditional double frequency Boost converter, the voltage stress of the high frequency switches is lower, and the filtering inductance is smaller. Compared with three-level Boost converter, the loss of switches is reduced and the efficiency is increased. Operation principle and property of.this new converter are analyzed in detail, the main parameters are calculated, the control strategy and the results of simulation are given. The results of simulation have demonstrated the correctness and effectiveness of the theory analysis.
