从最新的H.264视频压缩标准出发,提出一种基于H.264的数据分类和Turbo码的非均等译码保护的策略。针对Turbo码译码的特点译码迭代次数越多,纠错能力越强,但带来更多的译码复杂度和时延即消耗较多的功率。对于H.264三种数据分类,按照信息比特重要性的不同进行非均等译码保护,重要的数据给予更多的迭代次数的译码,次重要的数据给予较少的迭代次数的译码,以实现性能和功耗的折衷。仿真结果表明,本文算法不仅能提高解码质量,而且在实时中能减少时延和复杂度及功耗,特别适用于视频手机和手持设备业务。
For the new H. 264 compression standard, an unequal decoding protection(UDP) scheme based on the turbo code and the data partitioning is proposed. As the number of iterations used by the turbo decoder increases, the turbo decoder performs significantly better in stead of increasing decoding complexity, system latency and power consumption. Therefore, this paper performs unequal decoding protection according to the different priority-data for H. 264, and gives the high priority-data more number of iterations used by the turbo decoder to achieve significant tradeoff between the video delivery quality and the power consumption. Simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm improves the video reconstructed quality, and reduces the complexity and the latency in real time communication applications, especially suitable for video mobile telephone services.
