A new piecewise color characterization model is proposed with a camera for the high dynamic range＇imaging based on multiple exposures. The principle and the construction of the piecewise color characterization model, and the im- ages capturing, the color tone mapping and the images combination are introduced. By using an RGB color camera Ni- konD7Os, the new method can obtain high dynamic range images with standard and desired color information.
