The high efficiency, low-cost solar cells will be the mainstream of crystalline silicon solar cells. Back contact silicon solar cells have become the focus of PV market for their special structure, simple process and high efficiency. This paper outlines the structural characteristics, manufacturing technology and recent progress in some back contact silicon solar cells, and points out the development direction for the further research.
