The algorithm of hierarchical variable size block matching motion compensation temporal filtering was improved. Its one-byone sub - pixel addressing and filtering was replaced by the matching block addressing and filtering. So the operation on each individual pixel was predigested to a uniform operation on various sizes of block and saved a lot of operation spending. The experiment results show the speed of the new algorithm is about five times larger than the original.
