Phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase/protein kinase B/mammalian target of rapamycin （PI3K/Akt/mTOR） signal pathway is an important intracellular signal pathway, playing pivotal role in cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, DNA synthesis. Pulmonary carcinoma, asthma, pulmonary artery hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, chronic pulmonary obstructive disease （COPD） are common chronic respiratory diseases, and their patho-mechanisms involve cell proliferation and growth, which have intimate relationship with PI3K/Akt/mTOR.
