A summary was made on the basic principle, calculation method, advantages and disadvantages, and errors of four methods for evaportranspiration measurement, including the hydrological method, the microclimate method, the plant physiological method, and the remote sensing method. The reference criterion for reasonable determination of the measuring method was given, and some problems existing in current research and practices were put forward. Finally, a prospect for the further development of the measuring methods was presented.
