To develop the optimum scale in farming is an important way to achieve new agricultural modernization on the basis of household contract management. This paper, based on the questionnaire, analyzes the present situation of agricultural scale management in Henan through the descriptive statistical method, points out that small-scale, fragmentation of land management is still the main characteristics of Henan agricultural production and land use, and discusses how to promote agricultural appropriate scale in Henan with countermeasures after exploring the problems in the process of agricultural appropriate scale management.
