Relations such as association and hierarchy and so on between spatial relation types are very complex. The common spatial relation were consuhed and classified using the topic maps technology in order to apply and teach the spatial relations better. The topic types, association types and resource types of the topic maps were extract according to the standard of the topic maps technology, the rekitionship type of several spatial relations were established to different associations, the topic map of spatial relations was built by Java and Ontopia, and a whole and united complex knowledge networks of spatial relations was formed, the effective management and retrieval of spatial relations was achieved using topic map technology.
