Based on 2010 population census, we analyzed the patterns of informal migration in Inner Mongolia. We studied the size, geo- graphic distributions, source provinces, age, gender and education of related groups. We compared informal migrants in Inner Mongolia in 2010 to （ 1 I other populations in Inner Mongolia in 2010, { 2 ） informal migrants and other populations in Inner Mongolia in 2000, and （31 informal migrants and oth- er populations in China as a whole in 2010 and 2000.
