The paper focuses on analyzing the question that whether the proposition of internal markets within firms is true or false, After delineating the connotation of internal markets, the paper argues that the transactional nature of firms supplies the proposition with theoretical foundations from the perspective of economics, while decentralization offers the proposition with theoretical foundations from the management viewpoint. Thus, it is believed that the proposition is not false.
