The paper made a research of omamental plants resources of Salvia L. in west Sichuan Province, among which 12 species were studied for plant introduction. The results indicated that there are 32 kinds of Salvia in west Sichuan Province, including 3 varieties and 2 forms; Some of them have gorgeous color and beautiful plant type; S. castanea, S. przewalsldi and S. yunnanensis can grow normally through open field cultivation in Ya＇an City.
