In this paper,spherical silica gel is synthesized by hydrolyzing tetraethyl orthosilicate（TEOS） under alkaline conditions.Then a new type of cadmium-imprinted polymer is prepared on the surface of spherical silica gel with N-[3-（trimethoxy-silyl） propyl]ethylene-diamine（TPED） and Pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde in the presence of cadmium ions,and its adsorption properties is studied.
