加拿大主要是一个移民国家,对祖语教育不太干涉,加上后来多元文化政策的施行,使得华文教育的发展环境更为宽松,呈现出良好的发展局面。加拿大华文教育自诞生之日起,经历了兴办、停滞、复兴和兴盛四个历史时期,在发展过程中呈现出教育目标多元化、教育内容本土化、教学方法个性化、办学形式多样化、教育终身化的鲜明特点,当然在经费、师资、教材、教学等方面还存在不少问题,这些都是制约加拿大华文教育发展的瓶颈。
As is mainly an immigrant Country, Canada didn't interfere with Monther tongue's Education in general, sequently, the Country carried out mutulculture policy, and then Chinese language and culture education has a smoother development envernment. Now, Chinese language and culture education begin to take on a better situation. Canadian Chinese education from the date of birth, has experienced the emergence, stagnation, recovery and prosperity four historical period, in the process of development of present education target diversification, individuation education content localization, teaching method, educational form diversification and distinctive characteristics of education employees, and of course in terms of funding, teachers, textbooks, teaching still exist many problems, these are the bottlenecks restricting the development of Canada' s Chinese language education.
