The establishment of India＇s maritime strategy is deeply rooted in its thought of Sea Power,thus its strategy target is progressive and well-functional. In recent years,India has made huge development on its maritime strategy. India has built a powerful ocean fleet and a number of domestic and overseas military bases or strategic pivots. It also created the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium and participated many joint maritime military drills in Indian Ocean. For evaluating the effects of India＇s maritime strategy,it should be divided into three levels and evaluated by four different standards. Further more,this article also aims at providing a structural analysis to the effects of India＇s maritime strategy. It is concluded that India could cooperatively dominate the Indian Ocean when cooperate with other Indian Ocean countries under the premise of full respect for the United States.
