The concept, technology of patent breadth, lays emphasis on the technological connotation with its influence on the technology, which composes the paradigms of patent breadth with above two ones. From the view of patent value, the longer technology of pa- tent breadth means the stronger in the market with technological control. The investigation in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry in China shows that U. S. , Japan and EU are in the front position, however China is always in the back position.
