Village landscapes are different in space and changing with time. The differences in natural, social and cultural environment will cause diversified landscapes. Shangtangfan Village and Shaxi She Village in Liandu District of Zhejiang Province are similar in history, natural environment and micro social environment. But in recent years, with the development of tourism economy in Shaxi Village, the concept of value, ethnic identity and policy support are becoming different in these two villages, which leads to obvious differences in productive, architectural and cultural landscapes. The sudden change of the landscape of Shaxi Village was caused by the context of tourism, while the gradual self-renewing of the landscape of Shangtangfan Village was the result of the context of traditional farming economy.
