合成了含联苯液晶基元的甲基丙烯酸酯单体,通过溶液聚合合成了一系列含不同长度尾链的聚甲基丙烯酸酯类侧链液晶聚合物(P-6biCm),采用1H NMR对分子结构进行了表征,通过DSC、POM和1D WXRD对其热力学性质及本体相行为进行了表征.结果表明,当m=1,2,3,4时,聚合物可形成近晶相E相和近晶A相;当m=6,8时聚合物只形成近晶A相;当m>10时,聚合物可形成近晶B相和近晶A相.同时随尾链长度增加,聚合物的清亮点升高.
A series of side-chain liquid crystal polymers,the poly[ω-(4'-n-alkyl oxybiphenyl-4-oxy)hexyl methacrylatels (P-6biCm,m is the number of the carbons of alkyl tails,m=1,2,3,4,6,8,10,12,14,16 and 18) have been synthesized.The chemical structure of the monomers was confirmed by 1H NMR.The molecular characterizations of the polymers were performed with 1 H NMR,TGA and GPC.The phase behaviors were investigated by the combination of techniques including DSC,POM and 1D WXRD.The results showed that the length of alkyl tails played an important role in the phase behaviors of these polymers.For m=1,2,3 and 4,they formed smectic E phase and smectic A phase.For m =6 and 8,the polymers showed smectic A phase.For m =10,12,14,16 and 18,the polymers presented smectic B phase and smectic A phase.On the other hand,the clearing point increased with the increasing of m.
