β-amylase activity is an important indicator of barley quality.The relationship between barley β-amylase and varieties and environmental factors was analyzed, and someproblems in the study on barley β-amylase activity and varieties and environmental effects were proposed, then the future research focus and irection were put forward, which was of great importance to increase barley β-amylase activity, improve barley brewing quality and promote barley industry development by improving vareties and applying suitable cultivation measures in the future.
