According to the present operat ion si tuat ion of the video moni toring system at township power sup-ply station （or business lobby） in Xuchang. District Henan province, the problems and bottlenecks of the exist-ing phenomena are analyzed and summarized. In accordance with the development of unified video monitoring platform construction requirements and technology trends in State Grid Corporation of China, the paper puts for-ward the construction scheme of a township power and operating room video surveillance platform, which studies the platform composition, the realization of the function and the calculation of the bandwidth. It can be used as reference for the construction of video surveillance system in power system and other related fields, which has a strong prospect of popularization and application.
