According to the resource and mining conditions of a certain large copper mine in Tibet plateau area, the boundary optimization and ultimate boundary shall be determined, the equivalent grade EqCu is used to represent the value of four kinds of useful elements in ton ore. On the basis of determination of mining capacity, the comparison and recommendation shall be made for the production buildup/full production scheme, and the final scheme will be selected, that is ＂mining by stages, firstly determination of small scale buildup of initial mining boundary, then the transition to the full production capacity＂.
