在新型网络交换节点高性能,高可靠,低功耗的需求驱使下,本文在应用ATCA(先进的通信计算架构)规范设计的交换节点中实现了基于IPMI(智能型平台管理接口)协议的智能平台管理系统。自行设计的智能平台管理控制器结合corelPM 的开源架构实现了有效提升系统可靠性、降低能耗的功能,包括对板上能耗的分配管理,对器件状态的监督控制以及与机箱管理控制器的通信。文中详细介绍了智能平台管理控制器的软硬件实现形式,并给出了调试实例。
Driven by the demand of high performance, high reliability and low power consumption in new network switching nodes, the paper developed an intelligent platform management system for an ATCA - based switching node based on IPMI protocol. Self - designed intelligent platform management controller combining open - source architecture corelPM achieved reliability enhancing and energy saving management functions, including the allocation management of on - board energy consumption, the monitoring and control of device status and the communication of chassis management controller. In this paper, the detailed hardware and software implementation method of the IPMC will be given, and finally some application examples will be shown.
