Objective To observe the submicroscopic struture of eleutherococcus senticosus leaves. Methods By using technique of ultrathin slicing, the sample of wild eleutherococcus senticosus leaves of three years was prepared and the structure of eleutheroeoccus senticosus cell was obset＇ved by using transmission electron microscope. Results The results showed that chloroplast,vacuole,mitochondria, nucleus and other organelle structure in eleutherococcus sentieosus mesophyll cells tue all complete and clear. Leaves of eleutherococcus senticosus ultrathin slices can be effectively used to the structure of sub - microscopic observation. Conclusion Leaves submicroscopic structure of eleutherocoecus scnticosus was clearly observed, and provides a new basis for identification of eleutberococcus sentieosus.
