视觉研究方法对旅游地空间感知视角下的旅游地空间结构认识和旅游地规划具有重要意义,而工业遗产作为转型期独特而新兴的旅游地,其视觉空间文化意义如何被塑造传达和被感知尤值得关注。文章利用游客自助摄影、照片评定和眼动轨迹追踪等方法对广州红专厂这一工业遗产旅游地空间感知进行分析。研究表明,广州红专厂空间结构取决于工业文化和艺术创意这两个属性,游客对艺术创意景观的空间感知强于工业文化景观,而工业文化功能区在游客的感知中趋于模糊;游客对艺术创意景观的感知主要集中在名称等符号标识系统之中。眼动仪等视觉研究新方法的使用将会对工业遗产地的改造等工作提供新的佐证与参考。
The visual methodology is very significant for the understanding of the spatial structure and the planning of tourism destination, in particular from the perspective of spatial perception. As a form of unique cultural landscape rooted in the transition period, the industrial heritage has been gradually becoming a type of new-emerging tourism destinations, with increasing concerns on how cultural meanings are shaped, delivered and perceived through them. In the most recent decade, the visual methodology(e.g. the auto-photography), has been gradually becoming a very important methodology in Western human geography, environmental sciences, and psychological studies. Moreover, the photos evaluation, eye movement research and cognitive maps are also regarded to be forms of effective methods to investigate the visual information processing, which also inspire the visual research methods in geographical studies. In this sense, this paper attempts to use the visual methods, including the auto-photography from tourists, photo evaluations, eye tracking analysis, and tourists' drawing of cognitive maps, to analyze tourists' perceptions on the industrial heritage of Redtory. In this regard, the visual methodology that is adopted in this paper, to a notable extent, can contribute to the explanation of the spatial meaning of the industrial heritage and therefore can enrich and develop the research methods of the spatial perception. Based on the visual methodology, this research displays that, the spatial structure of Redtory is mainly determined by two attributes: industrial culture and artistic innovation. On the one hand, the research result shows that tourists have stronger spatial perception in artistic innovation based landscapes than in industrial culture based landscapes, and on the other,tourists tend to have vague perceptions on industrial culture based landscapes. Specifically, tourists mainly concentrate on identification systems, like names, in their perceptions of the industrial culture based landscapes.
