Based on the traditional image edge detection, the method of directional edge detection filters to de-noising is used. This process can strengthen the filter effect of the stratigraphic texture direction of the seismic data, enhance the continuity along by direction of bedding consistently, and protect the edge information. The experimental results also show that the new method can significantly reduce the noise in seismic: profile and improve the lineups continuity and SNR of seismic data.
