He Zhou received her MS degree in the digital communications from Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommuni- cations, Wuhan, China, in 2006. She is the director of communication training bases of Asia-Pacific Telecom Union - under Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and currently pursuing her PhD degree in photoelectronics informa- tion engineering at the College of Optoelectronic Science and Engineering, Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. Her research interests are in the area of all-optical processing, and advanced modulation formats. Chi Nan received her BS degree and PhD in electrical engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in 1996 and 2001, respectively. From 2001 to 2004, she was an assistant professor at the Research Center COM, Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby, Denmark. From 2005 to 2006, she was a research associate at the University of Bristol, Bristol, United Kingdom. In 2006, she joined Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China where she is a full professor. She is the author or co-author of more than 100 papers and co-inventor of two United States patents. Her research interests are in the area of optical packet/burst switching, all-optical processing, and ad- vanced modulation formats. Huang Dexiu received his BEng degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 1963. In 1963 he joined the Department of Optoelectronic Engineering, Huazhong University of Sci- ence and Technology, where he is currently a full professor. He is deputy president of the Wuhan National Laboratory for Photonelectronics, and dean of the Electronics and Information College.
