This paper focuses on newly developed techniques: component in realtime embedded computing. Firstly, the characteristics of embedded system eCos (Embedded Configurable Operation System)are described. Secondly, the component techniques of eCos are analyzed in detail and the definitions of granularity and the configurability of the eCos component are analyzed. Finally, an example is given for eCos component based configuration.
