Jasmonic acid （JA） plays crucial roles in plant development. In this review, the roles and regulation mechanisms of JA in plant flower organs development and leaves senescence were focused. The latest published works on JA were summarized from molecular biology and physiology levels. Finally, the development trends of JA research were discussed.
