This paper reviews the 3D modeling methods of the diffusion procedure for diffusion magnetic resonance imaging using different radial and angular information. The modeling methods are first divided into two categories: low angular resolution and high angular resolution. And then we describe the high angular resolution model, accord- ing to the sampling schematics, with multi-angular model, multi-radial model and synthetic model. Meanwhile, the model designation, computation algorithm, merits and drawbacks are also discussed as well.
