Preliminary investigation on Notodontidae in Changbai Mountain, Jilin province showed that there are 62 species belonging to 6 subfamilies and 32 genera, among which 6 species are new records there. Fauna composition of Notodontidae is dominated by Oriental-Palaearctic common species in Changbai Mountain. Most species distribute in Korean pine-broadleaved forest belt, accounting for 50 % and there are 6 dominant species. In July, there have the most Notodontidae species and quantity. Notodontidae species distribute gradually less with raise of altitude and geographic distribution changed from Oriental-Palaearctic common species to Palaearctic species.
