英文摘要：

White-eared night heron（ Gorsachius magnificus） was a globally endangered bird species and listed as class Ⅱnational protected species. Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was an important distribution area of G. magnificus. Based on the 24-year study of this species,34 localities in Guangxi had been found,and among of which,only four distributed in nature reserves while the others were out of the protection. The conservation gap of the species was discussed and the suggestions were put forward.
