Antibacterial peptide is a kind of small molecular peptide in the natural immune system. It has small molecular weight,good thermal stability and is water soluble. In spite of simple structure,it has many functions. Besides its broad spectrum antibacterial activity,it also possesses additional functions including antifungal,antiviral,antitumor and promoting wound healing. At present,most of the chemotherapeutic drugs could kill tumor cells as well as normal cells,therefore,the discussion about antibacterial peptides killing tumor cells is becoming a hot spot in current research field. It's discovered in recent years that the mechanisms of antibacterial peptides inhibiting tumor cell functions are all different.
