Triphenyl amine derivative is a key building block in materials chemistry. The strategy to introduce the different number of formyl functionality to triphenyl amine was the use of Vilsmeier-Haack reaction. Di- and tri-brominated triphenyl amine derivatives were synthesized from bromination.
