3-Bromo-6-methylpyridazine was prepared in three steps from CH3COCH2CH2COOH via the cyclization with hydrazine hydrate, the dehydrogenation reaction, and the substitution reaction. The synthetic route provided an excellent method for manufacturing 3-bromo-6-methylpyridazine. Its structure was characterized by I HNMR and MS-ESI.
