With the development of aqueous coating technology, intensive studies of the microstructure and mechanism of aqueous polymer dispersions are made. This paper gives an overview on the research of novel aqueous polymer dispersions and the application of polymer blends, as well as the effects of formulation parameters on the drug release behavior and storage stability.
