针对卫星通信系统对Ka频段圆极化器的苛刻需求,详述了一种应用于Ka频段的金属膜片式圆波导极化器,通过在圆波导内插入一组对称的金属膜片实现圆极化,并采用升余弦分布方式调整膜片插入深度、间距以及膜片厚度等参数以改善移相量和阻抗匹配特性。利用HFSS软件对圆极化器进行了仿真设计,仿真结果表明,所设计的圆极化器在所需的工作频段内相移量为90°±2°,电压驻波比小于1.10,具有良好的圆极化性能及阻抗匹配特性。
Focusing on the strict requirement of Ka-band circular polarizer on satellite communication,a type of Ka-band metal waveguide iris circular polarizer is presented.The characteristic of the circular polarizer is achieved by inserting a set of metal iris into the circular waveguide. The parameters such as insert depth,spacing and thickness of metal iris are adjusted to improve the characteristics of impedance matching and phase shift.The circular waveguide polarizer is modeled and simulated by HFSS software.The simulated results show that the circular polarizer has good circular polarization and impedance matching in Ka-band: the phase shift is within 90° ±2°and the VSWR is less than 1.10.
