英文摘要：

Saturated soft clay has been remolded by use of a vacuum preloading device made by researchers themselves. Reborn samples are obtained similar to intact samples by way of controlling the moisture content and the characteristic data of soil. Relationships between moisture content, displacement and height of reborn samples are established based on test results. The deviation of measured results from calculated results of moisture content is less than 4% ,while that of sample height is less than 2%. The studies provide a theoretical basis for the remolding of saturated soft clay by vacuum preloading,which gives a valuable guidance in practical geotechnical engineering.
